KAPER and H2Ocycle are brands of the SURF Sports Equipment Manufacturing Plant.
The company is engaged in the production of classic motorboats made to individual order and ultralight and durable units for practicing water sports.
The enterprise was founded in 1983 by Eng. Wojciech Wiśniewski, a graduate of the Shipbuilding Faculty of the Gdańsk University of Technology. Initially, our workshop provided shipbuilding services. In 1989, recognizing the benefits of economic changes and the demand in the Western market, we began building recreational boats. To compete with manufacturers from Germany and the Netherlands, from the very beginning we had to focus on style and solid workmanship. As a result, our first product was met with great optimism. We used the acquired experience in the construction of subsequent boats and yachts. Aiming to build increasingly larger units and meet the growing number of orders, we decided to construct a modern production plant at Tałcka Street in Mikołajki, where it remains to this day.
Since 1997, we have been operating the PORT RYBITWA water sports rental in Mikołajki.
Our water sports equipment rental is located at Okrężna Street 5, 11-130 Mikołajki, Poland
This location – including its historic building – has a rich and fascinating history dating back to the early 20th century.
Constructed in 1927, the building originally housed a youth hostel. This was during the era when Mikołajki (Nikolaiken) fell under German administration, and the Masuria region attracted significant tourist interest, particularly among young people. Youth hostels like this one were popular at the time, offering affordable accommodations while promoting active recreation in nature. During this period, the hostel also operated a rental service for rowboats and kayaks.
Following WWII and border changes, Mikołajki became part of Poland. The building at 5 Okrężna Street continued as lodging—now under the FWP (Workers’ Vacation Fund)—where holidaymakers could rent various watercraft including kayaks, rowboats, and sailboats.
Since 1997, it has been home to our rental center, carrying forward the tradition of supporting tourism and active recreation on the Masurian Lakes.

With great pride, we announce that the King of the Netherlands, Willem-Alexander, uses our KAPER series motorboats. Photos of the royal family sailing on the KAPER 20 boat were published in the popular Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf on July 8, 2017, among others.
